Brake Caliper Bracket

Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement: Get Them Discounted Online

What is a Brake Caliper Bracket and what does it do?

Disc brakes are the best option for quick, controlled stopping. They have become the norm for front brakes on both cars and trucks (drum brakes are still widely used on the rear, although four-wheel disc systems are becoming more and more prevalent). The way a disc brake works is simple – caliper holds two brake pads. When you hit the brake pedal, the caliper squeezes those pads against the rotor. The resulting friction slows and stops the car. Of course, the caliper has to be held in place to do this, and that’s the job of your disc brake caliper bracket. It’s a simple part, but one that’s very important.

When should I replace my Disc Brake Caliper Bracket?

Most drivers will never need to look into a disc brake caliper bracket replacement. These brackets are designed to withstand the rigors of hard use and offer a long lifespan. However, they do suffer from failure, and they can be damaged. Stress cracking is one problem that these brackets suffer, and serious impact during an accident can also damage them.

What happens if I don’t?

If you opt not to purchase a discount disc brake caliper bracket replacement, you’re putting your life and those of other drivers and passengers in danger. If your caliper bracket fails, the caliper will not work properly, which means that you’ll be unable to stop your car as designed. You might suffer from a slow stop, or you might swerve if one brake is applied but not the other. Brake maintenance is a serious issue.
